Sunset Bay is a residential development located on Leesville Lake a short distance from the town of Gretna, VA. Leesville Lake lies along the border of Pittsylvania, Campbell, Bedford and Franklin Counties about halfway between Danville and Lynchburg.
The neighborhood has a total of 68 lots, 5 of which are common areas providing lot owners secured facilities for boat/trailer storage, and access to the lake via a boat ramp with short term tie up docking. Leesville Lake is 17 plus miles long with mountain views, quality water and great fishing.

There are fishing tournaments most weekends in the summer. The Tri-County Marina is across the lake and very close by boat. Tri-County Marina address is Lynch Station, Va and they can be contacted at 434-369-5126. Danville is about 50 minutes to the South and Lynchburg is about 50 minutes to the North. There are many activities that are close including the following:

- Natural Bridge (Natural Bridge) - For more scenic route, drive toward Bedford
- Peaks of Otter farther west. Peaks of Otter offers hiking trails and beautiful vistas of the Appalachian mountains & crosses the Blue Ridge Parkway.
- Golf - Most golf courses in the area are semi-private meaning the general public can play there for a higher fee than members; The Willows is a 9 hole course in ALtavista. Other courses will tend to be 45 minutes to an hour away.
